• Our Story

We're are a Chef owned and operated Italian pizza and pasta restaurant.

We specialize in handmade, authentic, thin crust, brick oven pizza and fresh homemade pastas.

For many years, I have always wanted to open a cozy Italian restaurant like the original pizzerias and trattorias of Italy. A place where I could share my love for Italian food. I worked at other Italian restaurants and patiently waited for a good location. With the help of family and friends, I converted a Cape Cod house to a working, intimate restaurant. Pizza Cucina opened its doors in the summer of 1999, in the shore town of East Lyme, CT.

A passion for honest flavors, creativity, and Italian tradition are at the heart of every Cucina meal. We love creating terrific food and making our patrons feel very welcome and very pleased.
