• Our Story
We specialize in handmade, authentic, thin crust, brick oven, Neapolitan pizza and fresh pastas. For many years, I have always wanted to open a cozy Italian restaurant like the original pizzerias and trattorias of Italy. A place where I could share my love for Italian food with friends and neighbors. I worked at other Italian restaurants and patiently waited for a good location. With the help of family and friends, I converted a Cape Cod house to a working, intimate restaurant. Pizza Cucina opened it’s doors in the summer of 1999, in the shore town of East Lyme, CT When you visit Pizza Cucina, you will see that honesty, passion and an uncompromising attention to detail are at the heart of every Cucina meal. A passion for honest flavors, a passion for creativity, and a passion for tradition. Put simply, we love what we do.
